A multitracked electric cello piece conceived as an introduction to a larger work. Once completed it was decided that it worked well by itself. Prelude, interlude, or postlude: the listener's choice.

The empetus for this piece was the exploration of the development of a complementary relationship between some standard string instrument performance techniques (legato, staccato, tremolo, and portamento) to digital effects.

All sounds were created by the electric cello using outboard harmonizers, delay, and reverb.
