Originally composed by Estonian Arvo Pärt in 1977 for multiples of 4 celli, this arrangement is for solo electric cello.

After acquiring the sheet music to this piece, it was conceived that the entire arrangement could be effectively rendered live by a single performer with the right equipment: an electric cello, a harmonizer, and an infinite repeat delay/loop to supply the drone.

This recording was performed live with no overdubbing.
